Rosebay benefits from lots of natural light and children are welcome in this pet friendly home by the seaside. With its peaceful, enclosed south facing garden, we have created a special self catering cottage for you to relax in and to enjoy the many amenities around Findhorn Bay and beyond.

Owned by Lucy and Pete since 2009, Rosebay Cottage has been lovingly renovated. It provides very comfortable and relaxed accommodation, from which you can enjoy upstairs views across Findhorn Bay and the Moray Firth.
As Rosebay Cottage is superbly located in the heart of Findhorn village, all the village amenities as well as the beach, are within a short stroll.
The village sits beside the shallow waters of Findhorn Bay, a Nature Reserve where the River Findhorn eventually flows into the Moray Firth. This sheltered bay is home to thousands of migrating wildfowl and wading birds as well as being a haven for sailors and water sport enthusiasts.
A stroll along the waterfront will take you to a very sheltered, sandy beach. A little further over the sand dunes, takes you beyond Findhorn Bay to the Moray Firth and an extensive stretch of beach with lots of sand at low tide, when seals are regularly seen on the sand banks.
With our local Bakehouse market & coffee shop, the Village shop and Post Office, two friendly pubs on the bay and the Captain’s Table for refreshments by the beach, there’s plenty to support and enjoy! The town of Forres just 3 miles away has a supermarket when needed.
A Water Taxi takes you across to the wilder beaches on the other side of the Bay; view our seal colony on the way and look out for Ospreys fishing for salmon in the summer months. There’re plenty of sailing, kayaking and paddleboarding options and the beautiful Moray Coast path offers cycling and walking from the village into the stunning surroundings, villages and towns. Just a 45 minute drive will take you into fabulous Cairngorm National Park.
Our spacious rooms are designed with the sea in mind! Wake to the sound of the sea and live by the tides.
Rosebay sleeps up to 6 people in two double rooms – one with sink and the other which can be twins or a very comfortable superking. There’s also a sofa bed in this room and space for a travel cot. The large downstairs sofa is also a very comfortable sofa king size bed.
Newly renovated in 2023 the kitchen has fridge, freezer, oven, microwave, washing machine, essential tea & coffee and fresh bread from the local bakery on your arrival. Please ask if there’s anything else you need. The large dining table is within the open plan space.

Walled garden with parking beside the back gate, patio furniture and BBQ. The green gate leads to the beach, pubs and village shops in 5 minutes! For cooler but sunny days enjoy sitting in our sunny porch with a good book!
