THE OLD FARMHOUSE
Architectural Design by Ashtton Associates Ltd.
The project was to design the extension and alterations of a farm house and the conversion of the attached barns to create holiday let accommodation.
The restrictions of conservation are status required careful design of the front elevation of the farm house and barns but allowed for more freedom to the rear elevation.
The project also included a bat colony roosting void within the barn roof apex and was all under the control of the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations and required an EPS mitigation licence prior to works commencing.
This project as with most of our design projects benefited from our 3D Design drawings and animations which allowed for the proposed works to be better evaluated.
Schedule of services provided under RIBA Plan of Work Stages 1-4.
