THE OLD BARN

The project was to design the extension and alterations to an existing barn conversion, but with a contemporary and very much contrasting appearance to the original barn.

The restrictions on high allowed by existing planning conditions also required a none traditional roofing design and waterproofing system.

The sensitivity of the existing barn meant that any proposals would need to demonstrate to the planning officer that the extension would not cause harm (visually of by loss of amenity) to the close neighbouring property. 3D Design drawings and animations allowed for the proposed works to be better evaluated against the dimidiate surroundings.
