Memorial Croft

Architectural Design by Ashtton Associates Ltd.

The project was for the extension and full renovation of a detached dwelling on an elevated plot overlooking the historic market town of Wirksworth.

The proposal was to modify the design of the dwelling to create much needed family space at both ground and first floor. Externally the site benefited from a complete redesign of landscaping with new planted borders, elevated patio and a and new decked area.

The construction of the extensions reflected the detail of the existing buildings, with fenestrations proportionate to the size and scale of the proposed extension. All windows and doors were white UPVC, the walls a combination of rendered panels and reclaimed brick, matching existing brick panels, and plain roof tiles.

The project was designed and project managed by Ashtton Associates and completed successfully on time and to budget.
